Sales Launch of Honda and “yoccattaTOKYO” Collaboration Product

Honda Trading Corporation has been considering the upcycling*1of automobile parts designated for disposal as part of our recycling business.

With the approval of the airbag recycling project, “yoccattaTOKYO”*2, Honda has created a collaboration tote-bag product with yoccattaTOKYO, which will go on sale from Oct. 21, 2016 at Honda Commtec inc.

*1 Upcycle: the process of transforming materials or products that can no longer be used for their original purpose etc. into new materials or products of better design or with new functions.
*2 yoccattaTOKYO: an ethical brand launched by Magnu designer Takuya Itoh that gathers together many fashion industry professionals. It is currently engaging in recycling projects to “recycle decommissioned air bags and seatbelts using the skills and knowledge of the fashion industry.”
